Countryside House

In the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, situated just off the Pembrokeshire coastpath, with sea views.
Originally an old stone cottage, converted to a two storey detatched house in the 1950's.
It's an 'upside-down house' so the spectacular views are from the kitchen and living room area. There are 2 double rooms downstairs, one with an en suite toilet/shower. Also 1 single room with a bunkbed + bathroom.
It is a tranquil place to stay with more passing horses and tractors than traffic. Nearby are the thriving towns of Newport Pembrokeshire and St Davids, both equipped with huge sandy beaches and lots of cafes, restaurants, little shops, pubs and galleries.
Ferries go to Ireland from Fishguard harbour at the bottom of the hill.

Surroundings

Iet-yr-Eithin (Welsh for 'Gorse-Gate') is on the Stumble Head peninsula, a great place in West Wales for spotting seals and purpoises and other wildlife in the summer months.
It is a 7 minute drive or 15 minute cycle-ride to the nearest beach. There are many beautiful beaches in the vicinity, some more secluded than others.
It is great walking territory, with some historical sites nearby such as an ancient burial chamber just a five minute walk up to a heather-covered rocky outcrop from where you can spy ireland on a clear day; and the french invasion standing stone a half-hour walk through fields, over a river, up a hill and along the coast path.
Nearby there are the towns of Fishguard, Newport and St Davids for cafes, castles and cathedrals.
